Sports News: Oklahoma Thunder Finish Off The Spurs, Head To The NBA Finals

Written By Ray
Oklahoma City went to beat the San Antonio Spurs yesterday 107-99 in 6 of the western conference finals. Spurs who took a 2-0 lead to start the series could never find their rhythm again, and Kevin Durant and Oklahoma City Thunder took advantage of that. Down 15 at halftime 63-48 the Thunder had a lot of catching up to do and they did so within a quarter.

With some help from friendly whistles and great offensive execution they were able to bring the game within 1 to start the 4th quarter. Kevin Durant played the whole game and ended with 34 points, 14 rebounds 5 assist and 2 blocks. Westbrook also added 25 Harden 16 and Fisher hit a 3 pointer and a short jumper when it mattered.

By the 4th quarter the Spurs body language looked like they had given up already.
Spurs coach Greg Popovich Said “This has kinda been like a Hollywood script for OKC,” “First they played Dallas and then the Lakers and now us. That’s 10 of the last 13 championships, I don’t know if anyone has ever done something like that before and that’s incredible and I think it’s pretty cool for them.”
