Article: Top 10 Celebrity Divorces in 2010 By Hazel Lorraine

It’s been quite a year for celebrity divorce. Let’s take a look back at the ten biggest divorce stories of 2010.

Tiger Woods and Elin Nordegren – After allegations of infidelity and countless of women coming out to the public and admitting to being one of Tiger Woods’ mistresses, Elin Nordegren finally had enough of trying to mend her broken marriage and they both officially divorced in August 2010. I breathe a sigh of relief that this one is over.

Sandra Bullock and Jesse James – Right after winning her first Academy Award for “The Blind Side”, Sandra Bullock was publicly humiliated when rumours surfaced that her husband, Jesse James, was having an affair with tattoo model Michelle ‘Bombshell’ McGee in March 2010. Bullock remained private with her comments, but shortly after in April 2010, Bullock filed for divorce citing “conflict of personalities” and their marriage was officially dissolved in June 2010.

Shania Twain and Robert John Lange – The Canadian singing sensation Shania Twain divorced with her husband/producer Robert Lange in May 2010, after she found out that Lange was having an affair with Shania’s best friend Marie-Anne Thiebaud. After the divorce, the funny thing is Shania just announced that she is engaged to Marie-Anne’s ex-husband Swiss business man Frederic Thiebaud. Talk about swapping partners, I can’t wait for the wedding.

Eva Longoria and Tony Parker – What do you get when you have an NBA player and Hollywood starlet tie the knot in Paris? You get a marriage that ends in divorce due to infidelity through tons of sext messages. When Longoria filed for divorce in November 2010, Parker’s supposed mistress Erin Barry clearly denied ever having an affair with Parker. I guess Longoria is a desperate housewife after all, her neighbor and friend is not only a home wrecker, but a lousy liar as well.

Scarlett Johansson and Ryan Reynolds – Being young, rich, and famous in Hollywood just doesn’t mix when you throw in getting married, because for these two getting divorce was inevitable. Scarlett and Ryan got married in September 2008 in a private ceremony in British Columbia, Canada. They both got divorced a few weeks ago. Can someone say, “The spark just wasn’t there anymore?”

Courtney Cox and David Arquette – Big boys don’t cry. That’s what David Arquette was saying when “Friends” star Courtney Cox announced that she was divorcing him after 10 years of marriage. I thought this one was going to last, I guess for Arquette playing the ‘young-boy-at-heart’ act didn’t amuse Cox any longer.

Christina Aguilera and Jordan Bratman – Pop princess Christina Aguilera filed for divorce with her husband Jordan Bratman just before her five year wedding anniversary. Boo hoo, well anyway, the cheater here was, allegedly, Aguilera herself. After the divorce was finalized in October 2010, Aguilera was pictured holding hands with her new boyfriend Mathew Ruler. All I can say for this one is, on to the next!

Nas and Kelis – Hip-hop’s super couple Nas and Kelis divorced after four years of marriage citing the famous line, “irreconcilable differences” in April 2009. They divorced while Kelis was seven months pregnant with their son, Knight. At the time of the birth of their son, Kelis took Nas to court asking for spousal support for over $100,000/month. The court ordered Nas to pay half of that sum every month. Hip-hop divorces don’t come cheap.

Elizabeth Hurley and Arun Nayar – After a traditional Hindu wedding in India, actress Elizabeth Hurley split from her husband of three years, Arun Nayar. Again, just like Christina’s story, Elizabeth was also the cheater in this failed marriage. She was pictured having an affair with cricket player Shane Warne while undergoing the finalization of her divorce in December 2010.

Al and Tipper Gore- The main reason why I choose to end this article with this couple is because how sad it is that these two have been married since May 1970, that’s over forty years of marriage! Just goes to show that in Hollywood, nothing lasts forever.

Music News: Nas Announces His Tenth Solo Album by STEVEN J. HOROWITZ

Esco reveals he’s inspired by Odd Future, Frank Ocean and Drake for his forthcoming LP.

Nas may not be putting out Lost Tapes 2, but promises to deliver with his forthcoming solo album. The Queens, New York rapper spoke with Billboard.com about progress to the follow-up to 2008’s Untitled, claiming that he’s in a new state of mind and is inspired by new cats in the game.

“The last record I did was, I was in a different place than I am now,” he said. “Now, I’m happy to express that different place and I’m just happy about music. I’m watching everyone do their thing, young guys, women, artists just doing they thing.”

Naming Odd Future, Lil Wayne, Drake and more as current influences, Nasty Nas said that his tenth solo LP doesn’t yet have a concept. “My new album that I’m working on is free flowing,” he said. “At this point, there’s not one concept that sums up the whole record. I’m just flowing. It’s really too early to tell who I’ll be collaborating with.”

He also acknowledged that Untitled wasn’t an entirely solid record, and that he’s learned from his mistakes. “I don’t want to look back on this record – because I can look back on my last record and I know that record, some songs didn’t belong there. I really overthought it. I don’t want it to be like that on this record,” he continued. “I want to be able to play this next record after it’s done and feel like I did it. I have to do something that’s new. It’s just in me. I have to do something that feels like it’s right right now, and it could last.”

Music News: Nas Talks Ending Beef With Prodigy [Video] by Randy Roper

Nas Talks Making Peace With Mobb Deep’s Prodigy

In a recent interview with MTV News, NYC rapper Nas talked about putting his differences aside with Prodigy of Mobb Deep.
In the interview, Nas told Sway of MTV about his conversation with Prodigy, saying, “He called me as soon as he got out of jail; he got in touch with me. We talked about some things. I didn’t know he had a book. He didn’t tell me that. I guess he just wanted to clear the air on some past things that don’t mean anything today.”

Prodigy was released from prison in March after serving three years.

Prodigy’s book, “My Infamous Life,” has been controversial throughout hip-hop, talks about the relationship between the two Queens rappers.
Since making amends Nas and Prodigy have worked together on the Mobb Deep record entitled “Dog Sh*t,” which was released online in April.
“I just jumped on the record; put that to the past or whatever ill feelings he had towards me,” Nas said. “I think he was misinformed about things, like I was a negative guy or like I was trying to harm him in any kind of way. I think maybe he just grew up a little bit.”

Nas is currently in the studio working on a new album, but could not say when anymore songs with Prodigy would be in the works.

“At the moment, I just got back into the studio, and my focus right now has been just starting to work on the album, so who knows?” Nas said.
